With a lovely smokiness to it, this has quickly become a staple in our house hold. A little drop goes a long way but leftover pizza is amazing when drowned in this.

I got a sample pack a while back, they were all good but this one, by far stood out to me, is the best. It has a unique consistency and flavor that I found deliciouss. I just bought three more bottles.

This sauce is great and best on dumplings or pork buns. However, the mix of oil and substance doesn't always gel and the oil ends up going out first, leaving you with a paste that you can barely get out of the bottle once all the oil is gone.

Cannot stay consistently mixed, all of the ingredients fall apart into a disappointing mess unless constantly shaken repeated every dab, which is sad because I can see this being really good.

Oh no! So sorry this sauce threw you for a loop. Tomasa is definitely different than a vinegar based sauce. Here’s our suggestion for making it SING. First, give it a really REALLY good shake. All that yummy smoked spice really rocks when it’s shaken thoroughly into the oil. Then pour a little bit of it on a turkey wrap or grain bowl. Bam. It’s liquid gold. This is it. If I have to choose one, this is it. When I first tried it, I didn't realize it needed a shake because of the separation of the oil/rest of the ingredients. I've never had an oil based sauce before. I cracked it open and then poured some oil out onto my pizza. I remember actually digging the oil, lol, thinking that was the sauce. Not bad, not great I thought. I did this for a couple more slices of pizza and then sealed the bottle up. Thought it was a weird sauce. After looking at the bottle and realizing the contents separated, I shook it up and poured out the actual sauce. Incredible. The effect of pouring out most of the sauce made the rest of the bottle rather chunky, but I actually like this sauce's consistency. I shake it before every pour and it comes out perfect. As for the flavor, I'm a big fan of smoky sauces, like El Yucateco's black label sauce, which is inferior and is basically liquid smoke + hot sauce. This sauce has my perfect spice level and the flavor is just... addicting. I don't get the negative reviews. One said he/she poured the sauce down the drain after tasting it. What? For real? This is the sauce I would pick if I had to choose one sauce for the rest of my life. I got it in a subscription box last year and it was by far my favorite sauce out of the entire year of sauces. Just wish they sold it by the gallon.

This sauce was a true flavor bomb. The garlic powers through and gives this smoky umami flavor. It’s has a bit of burn to it, but I love it. You have to shake it every time you pour so it stays mixed and it’s more oil than sauce so it pours out fast.

Amazing flavor that adds the perfect blend of smoke and heat.

I noted by the appearance of the sauce in the bottle and the ingredients list that oil was a central ingredient in this sauce, so I made sure to shake it very well before using it. Even after shaking it though I just couldn't get past the oiliness. It was the first thing to hit me. The flavor was just okay, and overall this isn't for me.
