A great overall sauce with a heavy smokiness. Definitely shines where traditional red sauces shine (heavier red meat, eggs, etc.), and has a great depth of flavor. Excellent texture. Only demerit for me is that the smokiness can be a bit overpowering sometimes.

Reminds me of a mild version of chilis in adobo sauce. Great on eggs

When I smelled the stuff, it reminded me of a spicy BBQ sauce. It's got a good taste, but the heat is practically non-existent with this pallet, and I feel it should be considered a Mild and not a Medium. I've used it to dip carrots and used it on a burger and so far I enjoy the taste, but just wish it was hotter!

This sauce is INCREDIBLE. It's so simple and yet has SO MUCH depth of flavor.

This stuff is incredible! I've never tasted a hot sauce like this, it has nothing in common with pretty much any other sauce on the market. It is very thick, like a sludgy texture, and extremely rich in smokey flavor. It is magical stuff, I've been adding it to everything from tacos to fish fillets to breakfast sandwiches. Seriously amazing and the habanero version, while very similar in flavor profile, is excellent as well!

One of the very best hot sauces out there. Smoky, delicious, and straightforward, Añejo complements the flavors of anything savory, emphasizing the original taste while supporting it with a warm undertone. Just a wonderful sauce.

Honestly, if I could buy this by the gallon, I would. I would also use it as a shampoo, truth be told. The flavors of Añejo are smoky and rich and absolutely delicious. Not vinegary and not sugary. We love this on literally any savory item - meats, rice, vegetables, eggs - it enhances everything we've put it on. You will not be disappointed.
