“This sauce really is good. It isn't super hot but it does add some mild-medium heat. Mainly, it tastes great - savory, smoky, strong but not overbearing with lean but present spice. I've put it onto sandwiches, into shakshuka, over scrambled eggs, pasta, etc.... whether as a condiment or an ingredient it has consistently made food better. If there is a fault it's in the bottle design, which is maybe a bad pairing and tends to dump the sauce out even though it is not watery or splashy at all. I think a squeezable bottle with a much narrower spout would be perfect for this one.”

“Spice is quite mild but flavor is smoky and has a bit of complexity. Its a little thick- not wattery. There is little vinegar flavor- again the main flavor is somewhere between anchiote pepper/chipotle/cumin. Goes great with mexican food, eggs, or anything with a dough or crust.”

“I took a risk on this sauce and I'm so glad I did! This is the perfect daily sauce in my opinion. I use it liberally on my breakfasts and lunches and it's truly delicious, with just enough heat to warm you up. The Verde sauce variant is very similar, with just a bit more heat. Either way, you HAVE to get this sauce. Its smoky, balanced heat is just a perfect accompaniment to tons of different foods. I love it so much I re-orded a half dozen bottles to keep on hand. Normally I'm not a raving lunatic when it comes to product reviews, but this sauce is simply my favorite and even usurped my original favorite, the Heartbeat Pineapple Habanero. (Which you should also get)”

“Quality ingredients and preparation matter. Don't let the 4 ingredients fool you - this is a rich, smoky, and perfectly balanced hot sauce. The smokiness is a genuine flame roasted flavor, no liquid smoke notes here. Will definitely be reordering soon.”

“This sauce is an excellent companion to Indian dishes. It is so perfect with a bit of cold yogurt or vegan cheese on top of a hot dal or palak paneer with some fresh cilantro. Anything with tomato is a great pairing with this sauce. I've made vegan spaghetti squash lasagna and a stuffed cabbage with turkey and I can dump a good heaping teaspoon on top as this sauce is not very hot. This is also great with eggs! This is a delicious mild sauce, I would give it 3.5 out of 10 for hotness. 10 out of 10 for deliciousness. Love this sauce!!”
