“I had high hopes for this one, the ingredients made it seem like it would be a flavor bomb. Instead it just tastes like jarred salsa you buy from the grocery store like Pace, Ortega or Tostitos. For $10 a bottle I just expected more. Also a 5 out of 10 on the heat rating is generous, I’d put it more around a 2 or 3. Pretty mild and mediocre.”

“Sweet caramelized onion and vinegar lends itself to a balanced sweet and sour sauce. Not much smoke. Great on a turkey sandwich. Flavor: 6 Heat: 3”

Oh no! So sorry this sauce wasn't your cup of tea. It's definitely vinegar forward! But with that yummy smoked onion flavor, we find this sauce is so good on mac n cheese! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

“Great flavor, almost what Pace Picante used to be but with a good heat to it. The sweetness of the smoked onion really comes through well.”

“Excellent with Indian food or curries. The smoked onion is disguised by the red pepper, and the combination tastes more like tomato sauce than onion. It doesn’t work on everything, but it’s brilliant on certain foods. Mild heat.”
