Maui No Ka Oi lives up to its name ("Maui is the best"). This sauce rocked on some homemade loco moco, kalua pork, and oddly enough... an Italian sub. With just the right combination of sweet and heat, mayo and Maui is the way to go on sandwiches. Just try it.

Good and all, but doesn't really stand out to me

This sauce feels "lightweight" in that it isn't thick and splashes out of the bottle, but it has heat! I think "splashy" is the best way to define the heat: it feels like a wave of heat crashes on your tongue and then the heat goes away. You can really taste the scorpion peppers in the mix. It's a bright feeling sauce that really goes well on burgers.

It's very flavorful, but it could spice up a family meal without worry.

I LOVE a vinegary sauce and am familiar with the brand so I knew I would love this. Trinidad peppers hit me harder than most and right up front so add that to the vinegar and BAM. This isn't playing around.

As others have mentioned, the vinegar in this sauce comes through a bit too strongly. You definitely get the scorpion peppers, but mostly in their heat instead of their flavor profile. It's great for eggs and mac n cheese, but I don't find myself reaching for it for anything else. I was definitely disappointed, I expected better from Adoboloco. It isn't a bad sauce by any means, but I won't be picking up another bottle when this eventually runs out. I think it's probably closer to an 8 or 9 in spice level, but it's a lot more of the stinging spice that doesn't have a lot of flavor. I feel like it's at least as hot as the XXX Last Dab, but not nearly as enjoyable.
