“Beautiful craftsmanship. I love the set, but my only gripe is that the rows and ranks are not lettered and numbered. They usually are. For example, the white pawn in front of the King is on square E2 and if it advances what is the name of the square it lands on. I am a beginner and I would find it helpful to have the letters a to h and numbers 1 to 8 on the edges of the board. Otherwise, the set is excellent.”
“The chess board and pieces are beautifully made and presented. It arrived boxed with a printed ribbon and tied with a lovely bow. The carefully printed tissue paper telling the story and history was an added bonus. I played chess was I was much younger and now retired I have promised to teach my grandchildren and great grandchildren. This chess set will be well used and well loved it is just lovely.
