About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “Cards themselves are fine but they have no individual boxes. Two packs arrive in a cardboard box which is just folded cardboard. Fine whilst they are new and sealed but not good once the cards are loose. Not practical and will not last well over time. I bought two sets as we sometimes play Samba. This system does not work well for that.”

“These canasta cards are the only ones worth buying! When these weren’t available I bought another brand which were totally inferior! So pleased that these cards are back in stock at Jacques”
