About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “This is the coolest art gift to give a child. It comes in a little box that is handy for travel. It features a 2 sided board,. One side is a chalk board and the other, a white board. It slots in to the base at an angle that works great for drawing and playing with the shapes. There are colourful magnetic shapes, pictures and letters that stick onto the white board, a little pen for the white board (The pen is tricky to open at first), coloured chalks for the blackboard, and a double sided eraser for each side of the board. I gave it as a gift for a 2 year old and she was mesmerised for hours playing with it! Some of the pieces are really small which is fine for older kids but not good for a 2 yr old, so her mother took those few small pieces out for when she's older. What a perfect, clever, educational, entertaining and fun gift! If your child loves art, this is amazing!”
