About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. Why not come along for the trip with us!

Beautifully made classic shape sorting box toy! Our baby is fascinated with it and it looks so much more refined than all his other garish plastic toys. It arrived quickly and beautifully wrapped too. Our only slight issue is that when he bangs the shapes on the box the paint comes off slightly and marks the plain wood. It made me slightly concerned it wasn’t fixed properly and as he puts them in his mouth this was a slight worry though I assume they are painted with baby sage paints? Perhaps jacques could respond? Otherwise we love it and will buy more.

This shape sorter is not super easy to handle for a 10 months old. That being said, my son loves it and has quickly understood what the game was!

It's well made but I expected it to be bigger than the actual size.

My little grandson will get this on his birthday in January, he's already been spolt for Christmas with your toys, he loves he's wooden toys nd his parents what him at such a young age to learn through the use of Wooden toys and puzzles, my daughter is a full degree qualified state Teacher and the shape sort is a very good learning tool for all children, getting it wrong is as important as getting it right, its a learning curve and my grandson will enjoy this challenge I am sure!
