About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. Why not come along for the trip with us!

I bought this for my 14-month grandson and immediately the beautifully packaged parcel was unwrapped (which is lovely!), he was entranced with the shapes and the box. I have bought other Montessori toys for him, all of which are played with and explored every day. They are great favourites!

Very well received from my friend's son. He's recently got into building blocks, so this gift was a step up from that. He absolutely loved it!

What a super toy! I bought this for my Grandson (24 months) to replace a similar but "baby" toy. It is well made, it is reasonably priced and has a wide range of ordinary an out of the ordinary shapes. It is his favorite toy and the first he searches for, when he comes to visit. My only adverse comments would be that the lid slides out very easily and a retaining catch would stop this, the colours linking shape and holes makes it less challenging (at least initially) and some shapes pass through more than one hole albeit, when presented the wrong way. Notwithstanding these, perhaps trivial, comments this is a toy I would recommend. From watching my Grandson it is clearly challenging and entertaining.
