About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “You'd think someone would take the effort to file down the middle of the beads so they wasn't jagged and constantly catching on the string as you try to put them on.”

“The beads looked lovely but were so rough on the inside that it was impossible to thread them without damaging the lace. The stiff end of the lace needs to be longer so that it would go right through the bead. Rather poor quality overall.”
