“We got 5 Ameribella chicks in March, four hens and one Rooster. We didn't know what to expect with this breed since it is new and we can't find a lot of info about them. Then hens look like our Black Star chickens but even more red feathers, but they look very similar. The rooster is Barred, which was a shock because we didn't know that he was going to turn a completely different color, but it is awesome. They are all very friendly and integrated seamlessly into our flock. The hens are my wife's favorite and if the Rooster can fill in his roll, we should be golden.”
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your Ameribella chicks—we’re thrilled to hear how well they’ve settled in!
This new breed is still a bit of a hidden gem, so your observations are incredibly helpful. The comparison to Black Stars with even more red is spot-on, and we love that surprise pop of color with your barred rooster! It’s always exciting to see how unique each bird turns out.
We’re especially glad to hear how friendly they are and that they integrated so smoothly into your existing flock. Fingers crossed that your rooster steps up—sounds like you’ve got a great group!
Thanks again for taking the time to share. We hope your Ameribellas continue to bring joy (and eggs!) to your flock.
“I was skeptical about ordering chicks online. But I’ve heard amazing things about this website so i decided to give it a shot. They delivered from Ohio and I live all the way in Washington state. I ordered 5 of these babies and all arrived healthy and happy. Just a little dehydrated from their long trip on the road, but they started drinking and eating in no time. The delivery date was April 28th and I got them April 29th which I was super happy about. It’s been a couple weeks now and every day I keep falling in love with them more and more. I’m excited for when they are grown and starting laying :)”
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re so happy to hear that your chicks arrived safe and sound, all the way from Ohio to Washington! It’s understandable to be a little skeptical at first, but we're thrilled that you decided to give us a try and that your experience has been positive.
It’s great to know they started eating and drinking right away after their long journey. We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and thrive with you. It’s wonderful to hear how much you’re enjoying them already, and we’re sure you’ll love their eggs when they start laying!
Thank you for choosing My Pet Chicken—we’re so glad to have been part of your flock’s journey. Wishing you many more happy moments with your adorable chicks!
“Just arrived. 4/30/25 Very lovely. In great shape . First time for this breed. They settle down when picked up better than the Ancona's (whom I know are a little flight, but I love Ancona's ). Looks good from here.”

If you need any assistance, we are always here to help!
“Our girl was definitely the biggest! She was also already perching and trying to fly within the first 24 hrs, so she seemed very mature and independent! Can't wait to see this beauty full grown.”
