Super disappointed. Yes - she’s healthy & pretty, but this was my third time purchasing a bird that was supposed to lay green eggs & I have yet another brown egg layer. I know genetics are out of your control - but I thought buying from a well known, reputable source that my chances of getting my green eggs would be higher. I watched the coop can very carefully because I was sure the small tan egg in that coop couldn’t have come from this particular girl. With shipping I paid $100+ for 3 chicks. Here’s to hoping that my other green queen girl gets the memo and gives me a green egg.

We are so very sorry to hear of your disappointment! While it is true that the Green Queen Easter Eggers will chiefly lay beautiful green eggs ranging from a sage to aqua-tint, a small percentage will lay possibly brown or pinkish eggs. We are hoping that your other girl will have been blessed with the gene to provide that glorious green hue you are looking for!

I ordered six chicks and two of them were Green Queen Easter Eggers. I ordered three different breeds. I am sure there were no subs so after identifying the other four, the two that was left should be the Green Queens. I like that they were different colors—one yellow and the other bl The yellow one kind of looks like a Delaware chick. She has five toes on one foot and four on the other. The black one has the cutest puffy cheeks. She kind of looks like a penguin. The yellow one doesn’t like being held and the black one is pretty chill. To be honest the black one gets handled a bit more than the others because of her puffy chipmunk cheeks. They are so cute and can’t wait to see what color they will be!

Again love these girls and their temperament some can be on alert or not want to be held but they are sweet!

Absolutely adorable! Little ones in our flock can sometimes seem a bit stand-offish as they are just so curious about their new world - but we have a great blog article that hopefully will help you in taming these babies! My chickens run away whenever they see me. Can I tame them? Please let us know if you have any questions about your flock or any of our great flock keeping supplies. We are happy to help!

She's a contender to queen of my small flock. Green queen keeps trying to fly at only a week old! Very happy with her! Very healthy! The real queen of the flock is the bountiful blue, she was the first to jump in my hand, the first to show everyone else how to drink, the first to show them how to eat and is a little bossy, but very sweet.
