“We like our green queen, Daisy. She is almost 19 weeks now and just laid her first green egg. She has a nice temperament and is a pretty black color with some copper around her neck, the black feathers on her back look purple, green and blue in the sun.”
We are so happy to hear about Daisy and how wonderful she is doing as a member of your flock! These are gorgeous birds with that added benefit when they lay those pretty green eggs!
“My Green Queen is so cute! She was a healthy little yellow ball of fluff with interesting wings. I couldn’t wait to see what she would look like all grown up. At 13 weeks she is beautiful, bearded and colorful with 5 toes. I can’t wait to see her eggs. She has a good personality. I’m very happy with her.”
We think it's always great to hear about our Green Queens since they can look so different from one another, from 5 toes to muffs, beards, feathered legs...you just have a surprise every time you order one! We're glad to hear she's got a good personality as well. We're hoping for you to get pretty green eggs soon!
We never get tired of hearing about our little ones in their new flocks! We are happy to have been able to help you and hope we can assist you with anything - questions, concerns, flock care needs or - ahem, more chicks as the chicken math kicks in :-)
Cuteness overload! Thank you for sharing your photo and letting us know how your little one is doing! Please let us know if you ever have any questions, My Pet Chicken is happy to help!
“She is healthy, a good layer and friendly with me. I will admit to being disappointed that she lays tan eggs. She is aggressive with the other girls. I don't know if it because I only have 4 hens and no rooster but it really bothers me.”
The Green Queen Easter Egger normally does lay beautiful green eggs ranging in coloring between a sage to aqua in coloring but the tan egg layer will appear in this breed every so often. We are sorry to hear that your girl is being a bit aggressive with her flock mates and are happy to help you with some guidance if you'd like!
