Both of my hens (last summer and this summer) were sexed incorrectly and ended up roosters :( the roosters were very nice but I wish I’d have gotten at least one hen. So disappointing.

We were so very sorry to read of sexing errors on your orders! We offer a live bird sexing error guarantee and we will refund you for any bird that has been incorrectly sexed, provided we are notified within the appropriate time frames. For breeds except silkies, that is between 14 to 22 weeks of the original ship date. Silkies take a bit longer to mature so they get a few more weeks and have until 19-30 from their ship date. We have reached out to you directly about your sexing errors. Again, we are sorry for this error!

After I placed my order I emailed to ask some questions and was told by the specialist that I should swap the Olive Egger in my order for a Green Queen due to their superior personalities and additional range of green colors. Fast forward 4 months and like many others on here my Green Queen lays a tan egg. I was not made aware of the higher chance of having a brown egg with this breed and regret making that change now as I ordered an Olive Egger primarily for the egg color. While she does have a beard she is not particularly friendly. I understand that chickens are individuals with different temperaments to me the trade off was not worth it. I do wish that the higher chance of laying a brown egg had been explained to me as I would not have made that swap.

We’re sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Green Queen Easter Egger, especially since you were hoping for a guaranteed green egg layer. Though we include the possibility of tan or brown eggs from this breed on their page, we should have communicated this better to you, and we apologize for the oversight. As for her temperament, sometimes chickens can take a little time to warm up, but we understand how frustrating that can be. We truly appreciate your feedback and are here to help with any questions or concerns you may have moving forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Our sweetest little chick of the bunch - she is 6 weeks and absolutely loves us. She hops right into our hands and likes to ride around on our shoulders. She is big, strong, and beautiful and soooo friendly. We LOVE her, she's our favorite by far!
