Baby Chicks: Olive Egger Female Reviews

4.7 Rating 118 Reviews
Received 3 pullet chicks February 2023. All 3 were mostly black - one had a white dot (that turned out barred) and the other 2 were mostly black with a patch of white/gray on their chests. White dot turned out to be a beautiful barred boy that starting "tiny crowing" by week 8. I think the 2 black chicks were from the Ameraucana x marans breeding - one has a beard and cheek puff, the other is smooth headed; both are a similar large size. They lay a pretty green egg (one's is slightly speckled), large-XL sized (about 61-63g). Both started laying around 19W and they are prolific layers (5 or 6 days in a row then take a day break). They are both black with the Marans beetle green iridescent shine. Friendly, curious, sweet, pretty birds - some of my favorite gals! Some of the OE eggs vs my other hens for some "egg-spective".
