“Miss Vera has been my most curious and outgoing little lady from the start. As a baby she was all black with the cutest little poofy yellow butt. She grew into a beautiful dark grey color, each feather with an even darker charcoal grey trim. Her hackle feathers and head are jet black, fluffy grey butt, poofy cheeks, and deep burnt Orange eyes with brown flecks. She was the first to figure out how to fly out of the playpen around week 2, and absolutely loves her leafy green snacks. She’s now the largest & heaviest lady in my flock of 6, and makes the sweetest little noises when I talk to her and pick her up. She does so well being held, even better when rewarded with treats. She is definitely the head of the flock, but is a peaceful leader and doesn’t enforce the pecking order with aggression- only flapping & chasing lol. She arrived on 6/12 & she laid her first egg on 10/31, Halloween - my favorite holiday! She laid a beautiful light olive green egg, and she was so proud of her hard work! Love this little lady and will absolutely be adding more of her breed to my future flock. Thank you MPC for this happy healthy baby!”
