“I ordered 2 olive Eggers and I love them soooo much. Though I'm pretty sure one is a roo. Hopefully not but either way ome is very friendly and it's the one I think is a roo but omg it loves to snuggle and I frickin love that!!! The other one is significantly larger(which is why I think one is a roo) and doesn't really want anything to do with me lol. Either way they are beautiful. Definitely recommend.”
“Amaranth was part of a set of 4 chicks we ordered in May. She is lively, chatty and a beautiful jet black with hints of green in the light. She has tufted cheeks like an Americauna and feathered feet like a Maran. She was the first of her siblings to lay at about 20 weeks and lays a lovely standard size olive egg.”
“I got two olive eggers this spring. They are my two most productive layers. One is bold and fearless, but sweet and friendly to me and the other chickens. The other is more shy, and will peck at another bird if she's stressed, but generally is fine.
The reason I give 3 stars and not 5 is because they both ended up having HUGE combs. This was not pictured in any of the sample photos in the listing, nor were any large comb breeds mentioned in the stock. They both got significant frostbite during a 7F degree low night (typical for my area) here in New England. Myaverage and small comb breeds were fine. MPC should be more careful to avoid large comb breeds in the mix.”
