“My super blue just laid her first beautiful blue egg today! For a first egg, it was a very nice size and I imagine she‚Äôll end up laying a large egg. I knew there was a chance I wouldn‚Äôt get a blue egg, so I do feel lucky. I only gave 4 stars bc she is on the flighty side.”
“My Super Blue chicken ended up being pure white like I've seen others mention in the reviews. She is gorgeous now, and was adorable as a chick (I literally gasped when I opened the box to see the tiny white ball of fluff with the puffiest little cheeks). She's my sweetest of the chickens I ordered through MPC. Very curious, definitely lower in the pecking order, but still friendly to everyone. She lays very beautiful, blue eggs - no aqua tint to them. I love her!”
“I got a super blue last fall. I was wondering if I would regret my decision after reading some of these comments. She is seriously the nicest chicken I've had to date. She wants to come hang out with you and she has the cutest cheeks ever! I must of gotten one from a different breeder?”
“My Super Blue, Hedwig, had a rough start. She was very weak from the shipping and almost died, but thanks to Pedialite and egg yolks, she pulled through. She's big now, and may I just say, she is stunning. She's so pretty, and she's very friendly, though she is still wary of humans other than me.”
“Our girl just started laying on the coldest day so far of the winter. She is the first out of all the day old chicks that arrived this summer. We are beyond thrilled.”
“I love my Belle. She's such a quirky bird. Loves to be held. Very funny personality. She basically lays every day. It's winter so I'm surprised she's still laying.”
“Even at 2 wks. our little yellow gal is bossy too. I can't imagine her as friendly and she does squawk a lot. Oh well, she's happy and I look forward to her eggs.”
“Marshmallow, our SBEL is our head hen even though she‚Äôs smaller than many of my others. When she was a chick she was the liveliest of the bunch and hasn‚Äôt slowed down. She‚Äôs very vocal, she alerts everyone when something is needed or there‚Äôs a treat around and she‚Äôs been this way since she was a chick. She can be very noisy before she lays, her eggs are a very light blue. She is mostly white but has a few black specks on her back. Her legs are slate green and gorgeous! She loves me and flies to my shoulder and hangs out there anytime I do chores in their run. She lets the kids handle her without fuss too!”
