“I was kindly gifted this cleansing balm some time ago and was reluctant to use it at first. However, it is simply amazing! It has a gorgeous texture and when applied it feels soothing with a wonderful smell that makes me instantly relaxed. My skin definitely feels more hydrated and nourished. This will be my go to cleanser from now on!”
“I must admit at my 34 y old ,this is the first time of me using a balm to clean my face.
I usually use plain water ,soap or liquid cleanser.depends on the situation.
Therefore I didn’t knew what to expect from this balm.
I have followed the instruction to get the best results and I got amazed.
My skin looked so differently, much cleaner, more firm and with a rich baby texture.
I never expected to get this feeling after all this years ,I don’t usually go to Spa so this was a first time for me to get this feeling on my face skin.
I must admit I like it so much that I am not using it daily just to keep it as long as possible :)
In which case ,you get a quite big container and considering how concentrated this is you only need little to clean the face so will probably stay with me for long time.
The texture of the balm is very rich and although is is solid , It tends to get pretty oily with the heat of your palm/face.
It has a strong scent if I am guessing is rosemary which I am okay with it as I like it.
My face isn’t very sensitive so I just used it ,but for sensitive skin type probably best to test it prior.
A very elegant and luxurious container and presentation of the box itself.
Pricey but you do get a lot of amount of product which improves a lot the skin texture.”
“This makeup-cleanser balm is currently selling for £44, so it's exponentially more expensive than anything that we'd usually buy, but it's also fantastic quality, so you might feel that the cost is worth it.
Made by a British company using what seems to be a lot of natural ingredients, the balm smells mostly of rosemary and bergamot, in a mild but pleasant way. It removes make-up pretty effectively and leaves the skin soft and moisturised. I have particularly sensitive skin and it hasn't irritated mine in any way, which is usually indicative of good quality.
Overall, although expensive, a little will go a long way. This is a luxury make-up remover, but possibly worth the price.”
“This cleansing balm is easily one of the best ones I've ever tried
Apply onto dry skin and rub in circles. Removes makeup easily, even stubborn mascara
I have dry skin and this didn't cause my skin to flare up and exaggerate the dryness. It smells divine and does everything you want a cleanser to do.
Cannot recommend it enough.”
“The aroma and texture of this is amazing. It feels great on the skin and moisturises as well as helping remove makeup.
It clearly contains a really good formula and is of the highest quality.
However even if using sparingly this is very expensive and I think unless it is within your means you may want something more affordable. It would get 5 stars for quality but I have to drop one because of the price.”
“The fragrance is very pleasant and I find it really relaxes me. Actually. Using the product is like having a bit of luxury and the experience feels as though I am at a spa at home.
Being a balm means a little goes a long way, and it is easy to use and apply.
A shame it does not include an Olivanna face cloth which the instructions state to use. It has to be purchased separately. I simply used a flannel.
The product works well. My skin looks good after using it. I also end up feeling rather calm and relaxed. Which is a welcomed bonus.”
“This 100ml oil-based cleansing balm by Olivanna arrived well presented in a branded cardboard box and is contained in a beautiful, heavyweight, frosted glass jar finished with a high shine, silver coloured, plastic screw lid. The jar also has an inner seal to maintain the moisture of the balm. The cleanser is a soft balm but unfortunately like many other higher end brands, this cleansing balm does not come with a scoop to maintain cleanliness.
This cleansing balm has a combination of rosemary, eucalyptus, bergamot and rose geranium essential oils which creates a beautiful, highly scented experience (the rosemary was the strongest scent in my opinion) and it suits my skin well without any adverse reaction.
A little goes a long way so you don’t need much more than a small scoop (I reused a scoop from another brands cleansing balm). To use the cleansing balm, massage it onto your dry skin with your fingertips avoiding your eyes the balm melts onto your skin and smells amazing. Remove with warm water and pat your skin dry. The cleansing balm is very effective at removing makeup and impurities whilst remaining gentle on your skin it left my skin feeling very hydrated, nourished and soft. Also, it doesn't leave a greasy residue despite it being oil based.
The cleanser is packed full of excellent quality ingredients derived from nature which includes a lot of leaf, flower and seed oils / extracts. It also contains gold of pleasure oil which is rich in omega-3 and has anti-inflammatory properties, strengthening the skin’s barrier, rosehip oil which has healing properties and encourages cell renewal, sweet almond oil which is rich in vitamin D & E, to protect from UV, soothe and restore the skin’s moisture barrier and finally squalane which prevents moisture loss so your skin is supple.
The UK based brand Olivanna London uses natural ingredients in their products including British botanicals. These natural ingredients have been selected for their benefits to your skin and been rigorously tested in a London lab to ensure safety and performance. Their clinically proven
skincare products are vegan and sustainably made.
Priced at £39.60 (with an additional 5% off voucher valid until the 17th April 2023) at the time of reviewing, this is a lovely cleansing balm option and you are supporting a UK based company too. I would definitely recommend this cleanser – it feels very luxurious.”
“This cleansing balm comes well packaged in a glass pot and is easy to use. It’s not got a very strong smell but I think this helps with the overall calming and soothing feeling it gives. It goes on very gently on the skin and washes off well to help remove impurities. It’s a generous sized pot so will last ages and overall this does help remove makeup.”
