SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Reviews

4.5 Rating 32 Reviews
Microchip works but we still have the problem that feral cats hit the door from the outside and then use their claws to open the door and get in. Door should have a lock both ways so that the cat in question can't get in unless it has a chip that has been registered.

Bit disappointed about the small door size, our cat only just fits through and he's only 1 year old. Should have read the other reviews before purchasing this size. Product guidelines should highlight more that it's for small cats more. Other than that door operates perfectly and it's great not having all the neighbourhood cats in the house.

Cat Flap is brilliant from the point of view that only your own cats can be programmed come and go. It is easy to programme and install. However our cat can still get out even when it is set to 'locked inside' by flicking the door with her claws so not a good cat flap if your trying to keep your cat in overnight or during sickness etc. and if our cat can get out it means possibly other determained cats could also break in?

Great service from Pet delivery prompt and good follow up. Door not installed but familiar with the item, the cats are looking forward to having their own door and not having to sit waiting for someone to open the back door for them. Love that it has its own batteries and no external power supply.

A neighbour's cat was coming in our house, spraying on shoes, walls etc and terrorising our 3 girl cats. I installed this in 15 min in the existing glass hole from our previous CatMate cat door. You will need a tube of silicone sealer if it is going in glass. Cats didn't miss a beat and were using it within the hour. One of our cats is quite round and it is a bit of a squeeze for her to get in, but she does it anyway. I measured the flap on this door and the CatMate - the width is the same, but the SureFlap is about 0.5cm shorter, in our case, not enough to matter.

Really happy with the cat door. The cats took to it the same day of installation and we no longer have the stray cat coming in eating their food!

My cat is quite small but struggles a little to get through the door. It really is quite tight.
