Can I ask how much product you used and how many coats you applied?
What are you treating? Couch, rug, chairs ect.
What sort of material the furniture was you were treating? Cotton, linen ect.
Is the weave of the fabric tight or loose? Are the fibres close together or far apart?
For most standard upholstery and fabric surfaces and rugs we recommend using 100ml per square meter (M2).
If the material treated is a heavy/thick or absorbent material, we recommend applying a second coat with an additional 100ml per M2 within 30 minutes.
The way protectME works is it coats each individual fibre. If the weave of the fabric is very close together (tight), then using protectME can create a water repellant barrier but if the weave is quite far apart (loose) then some water can still penetrate through the material as it is breathable. Applying protectME will protect the fibres from staining and absorbing the liquid for easier cleaning.
