Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked learning about the worms and what they do to help a farm. It was fun to play with the lego and make the farm trucks.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The online videos provided lots of discussion about what was happening and what they saw, they could relate to somethings they have seen in their own life.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? more knowledge about their food how it grows, where it comes from and how it gets to our supermarkets.

“The kids loved using the instructions to figure out how build each component of the Bricks farm. When playing with it altogether they enjoyed moving and interchanging pieces and making the farm their own. The kids were very engaged in the sorting activities and games and were able to make connections through discussions and the online content provided as well.”

“The bricks were very helpful when we looked at a paddock-to-plate unit. The students were able to make farms and discuss their learning through playing with the bricks. It was an interesting way for them to display their learning.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? We found all components useful - I think using the bricks impacted greatly by having a real life experience (building the farm) to base our learning on.

“Te Moana loved the farm lego kit. The children loved working with the bricks and it was great hearing their oral language as they worked together to construct the farm together and talked about the different parts. It was a great unit. Not only getting the lego but the support of lessons and suggestions that went with it. It worked well to support so many curriculum areas including literacy, maths, art, Te Reo and so much more. Thanks.”

“The Bricks Farm was amazing and is still being used Creatively in the classroom. Initially my younger class met with their tuakana teina class to build the packs of bricks. This allowed them to assist the more able older students who showed them how to build the items by following the instructions. Once the made up bricks came back to class there was amazing interaction and hours of fun in small groups. Lots of talk, lots of creation. Now some of the items are broken so we will have a rebuilding, reinventing activity using the bricks. Thank you for such a great kit.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves were great as they encouraged collaboration between the children. I also enjoyed being able to incorporate te reo into their play.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Resilience, cooperation and collaboration and great oral language experiences.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them We enjoyed working with our friends to construct the bricks. We feel very lucky to have the bricks, not all classes got some bricks.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks - the kids absolutely loved having bricks in the class and constructing with them. With all the extra parts that were brought in we ended up with a great collection.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The students are still pulling the bricks out and building with them. I don't see this stopping.
