Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The people .. so the children could actually assign roles and use language of the real world in their play.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Exploration and imagination combined. Fine motor will development. Language development.

The children were often engaged in their own playful learning.. telling their own stories and sharing their own ideas with each other. Following visual instructions / matching visual images

“Our children loved the challenge of not only constructing according to instructions but also the flexibility of creating their own constructions alongside. Having access to people / characters and animals was such an added bonus. These were often integrated into other kinds of play.. home settings, imaginary settings and mixed materials play.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them The kids asked everyday if they could do the farm bricks work. High motivated and engaged in the learning as we could easily link it to everyday situations. From here we visited a diary farm and also a honey factory.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks and instructions they had for communication and importance of team Work. The link to farming and the impacts this has on our society. Being a rural school our students were really engaged in this.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Group bonding and support for each other. They had to work together in order to complete the tasks. Communication was key and something the students realised was very important.

“Our class had our bricks set up on our tough table after an introduction. They were interacted with every day and thoroughly enjoyed. The social and communication skills that came from the students was outstanding, not to mention the fine motor skills of their small hands trying to connect tricky parts. Now that the learning is finished we will continue to have these central in our classroom to continue to allow the children to grow.”

“My students absolutely loved their bricks farm. Firstly building the kits was a huge hit and a giant success. Students worked in small groups to put their farm equipment together. The sets were just the right level of challenge for my year 3 and 4 students. They loved the jigsaw mat and spent a good length of time exploring creative play with this part of the set. I would have liked to have spent more time with the te Reo .”
