Building their own farms, building a shop, imaginative play around food, not just with the lego, but in the whānau area which became a shop.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The people and small food items appealed most to the children, although the roads were also popular.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
Encouragment of imaginative play and making things to their own designs. Also, the transfer of play ideas from manipulative (with the lego) to other areas in our programme.

How important is it to you that classroom resources are made from recyclable materials and are reusable?
How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy?
We didn't get to use the farming context quite as much as I would have liked - something to work on!
