“My class was very excited to receive the bricks. In particular, For an autistic child following the instructions and putting the bricks together was very relaxing and enjoyable. He was able to complete the items and had a fabulous sense of achievement.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I really think the tractor was hard to make but my friends helped me and that was cool. It’s important to be kind to our animals and to feed them good healthy food just like my mum does.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The making of each component t to create the farm became a relationship building exercise with loads of mathematical, positional language and questions/asking for help.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Not sure because they are so young but I hope they recall the project with fondness and positive language to help In building future relationships.

“Our Year one students found the building up of their farm fun, tricky to build but very satisfying. They loved the help of our older student buddies to build up our farm. We chatted about the names of times in English and Māori. We talked about caring for animals and our pets and we became super aware of rubbish around school that hurts our wildlife! Our project evolved as learning should do. Thanks Countdown and School Kit for helping us learn.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The hands on bricks were very exciting and provided lots of moments to springboard learning. The bricks also allowed the children to play out what they were learning.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The children continue to play and enjoy this kit. My students continue to have quality conversations whilst playing and exploring the kit.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? My class were a little young for some aspects of the game (and actually understanding how to play the game) but really enjoyed learning about positional language in both languages.
