What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It will be an ongoing part of our akomanga. The tamariki play with it daily. We have started growing our own vegetables at school and have just planted a 20 tree orchard. The tamariki did not even know what an orchard was before this kit came.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed this kit. Due to the cyclone, we only did this kit this term. The kids loved learning about the different things that are made on the farm. Where does milk come from was a question, answered by the supermarket. We watched youtube clips of cows being milked, sheep being shorn etc. After all the learning with the tiles etc that came, I got one of my speech-language boys to put the farm together using the plan. It was awesome to hear the language coming from him. He had to ask her in full sentences about the next piece of Lego. This went on for a good 1/2 hour which is the longest he has been engaged in any activity at school. He's a year 3. Now all the kids are engaging with each other, sharing, so-operating, solving problems when a piece breaks etc. Thank you so much for this kit”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Every morning the children talk about the animals and what they do and it develops their play.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The children play with the bricks on a daily bases, it starts there day and ignites play with peers.

“We have had a brilliant time with the Bricks Farms. In the NE classroom the tamariki have built so many creations, discussed aspects of farming life such as milking, fencing, drafting, tailing, growing and harvesting. They have used the farms to work collaboratively through pretend play, sharing ideas and teaching others about what they have created. We extended the learning with visits to farms of families in our class to connect with our community and make the experience even more meaningful. This set of farm bricks will be enjoyed by so many for years to come, thank you!”
