Which kit components were the most impactful and why? There was a lot of value gained from the children having to work together to construct the brick machines at the beginning - good social emotional learning, perseverance, teamwork and following instructions

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? My students have a really strong understanding of how food gets to the store, and how hard farmers work to grow food for us

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I used this kit as a team building experience. To encourage children to share and take turns. Chn asked nicely, felt happy and enjoyed working with others

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? the larger kits as they were more complex and chn had to work together to construct, talking and discussing what to do and how.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Sharing and kind words works better than demanding and grabbing.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them It was a bit tricky building the shed but I was very proud that I could follow the instructions and finish it. We love lego, using the thing, that, for cards we were able to use our imaginations and design our own machines.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? All of them. The kit worked well together as a whole package. As with all school kits the teacher materials were very easy to follow.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A continued enjoyment of lego. But also the ability to work cooperatively and share with others.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? It fitted well as our focus was NZ histories. We were able to compare toys and farm machinery of today to the past. They also learnt about shops and farming and wrote about many aspects of these.

“The farm kit has been a huge success in my year 2 class. It's been in a corner of my room and I have been delighted to see the creativity and oral language that has emerged. The children enjoyed putting the kit together and created different scenarios and stories. Recently 2 senior pupils were in our class for a day - to my delight the farm was where I found them creating a scene and a story.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The little packets had the most impact.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Oral language - they talked so much when playing with this kit and it also enabled them to talk about their feelings and thoughts linked to the recent cyclone in our area.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "My favourite part was opening the packets to see what was inside" "my favourite part was working with my buddy to help set up the farm."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Using key word tiles in te reo. The class were learning how to put the new vocab into a sentence. We also created a board with English and Te Reo .

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Teaching in a low decile school means that often our tamariki aren't exposed to the same experiences as other children. Many of my class don't have Lego at home. this was a highly engaging. kit particularly for some of my struggling students.

“My class loved this kit. We have quite a wide range of abilities in my class but everyone was able to participate. We used the kit to extend our te reo usage and to work on our kotahitanga-working together and cooperating with others. It has been a great addition to our Countdown shop bricks that I bought for my class a few years ago.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them There was heaps of animals and I loved playing with them. It was cool that there was all of the farm vehicles, I didn't know that a farm had so many. I liked building the house, it was complicated but I liked the challenge.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The most impactful part for the whole class was the actual kit itself. We worked together to earn a new part of our farm to be built. Children worked together in teams to follow the instructions to complete the construction. There was great language aroun

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? This kit is currently a permanently set up in our breakout space. The children that need time/space to reset are able to use this. The role play and language, and relating to others skills developed has been very positive.

“This was an amazing resource. The children loved working together to earn a new piece to go into our farm. We had lots of conversations about farming and what things were and were used for. We used the kit during maths. We used it to improve our te reo. We used this kit as part of our kete to help children that need a calm down space. This kit was able to be used in so many different ways, and it will last for a long time!”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I was teaching Hauora in my class so was able to use the resources to interweave with the teaching

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think it taught the students some creativity by the ways that they were able to use the lego in their own ways.
