Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them It was tricky to build the pieces with the instructions. I had fun making the farm with my friends. We played the game and took turns to draw the pictures.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The Lego itself - encouraged perseverance and team work, and for some patience to put it together correctly. The game cards - so versatile to be used as must do or can do activities in so many ways

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We can use it again for different learning intentions throughout the year. It is fun, versatile and very well resourced.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I enjoyed learning about who works on a farm. I liked when Mrs O'Neill talked about her farm, animals and machinery.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Individual kits for each child to be able to open and build. Encouraged Oral language.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We also used our Brick Farm as writing motivations to either describe each new farm item or explain what it did around the farm.

“My Year 1-2 class loved this kit, a lot of imaginative play came from it. A huge amount of oral language development happened as children played with the equipment. The building was challenging at times which taught lots of resilience, problem-solving, making/remaking, and collaboration.””

“The Farm Kit was fantastic. There was so many opportunities for tamariki to work on persevering, collaborating and negotiating. We loved using the idea of mystery and using clues to predict what might be in each packet and built on from there once we knew every part of the kit we would choose one and give clues to our buddy (working on our oral language and noticing skills). To build the vehicles and buildings we worked out we needed some help and this allowed to have a tuakana teina experience with a Year 6 class. The Year 6s talked their little buddies through the building and following instructions and weren't allowed to touch the actual lego. We loved learning about positional language in both english and te reo and giving simple directional instructions. The farm set has also been lovely for play learning.”

“This kit has been fantastic. I work with juniors and they have had a great time with creative play and developing their ability to share and take turns. Added to the other bricks farm packets we were given we were able to use them as rewards where students could open a packet and add them to the class kit. I can imagine the kit will be useful for years to come.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The kids enjoyed the vehicles and enjoyed building the farm and changing it.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The kids enjoyed interacting with each other and getting to learn more about each other. They learnt how to talk about things with new children, not just their friend. They learnt to problem solve.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? All aspects of the farm kit had an impact on the students. Most of the boys gravitated towards the vehicles and the animals. The girls loved playing with the animals and moving the trees and gardens around.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Good memories of fun, talking and learning alongside their friends.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "I've got some of this Lego at home" - great that they could connect their prior knowledge. Another student was able to talk about the milk tanker as he lives on a dairy farm - great to have the students lead the lesson.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The whole farm - some students have not seen a farm - helped to develop their understanding of animals and what farmers do.

“Great resource having the Lego bricks that the students recognised from the Countdown promotion. Quite tricky for the new entrants to put together but this gave us a great reason to get together with some of the school seniors. We based our topic around Farm to Table - good resource to get the students talking and thinking about where our food actually comes from!!! Thanks heaps School Kit”
