“The students loved the Bricks Farm Lego. We used the bricks to run a social group for a neurodiverse student, she worked in a small group with other students. The students worked together to build the bricks there were roles that the students were in charge of such as supplier, builder and engineer. The students learn how to communicate clearly. They also learnt how to compliment another child and how to react when a compliment is received. They are also learning that we are all different and they do need to be patient, kind and considerate to others. This school kit was a very effective way to improve social skills for neurodiverse students.”

“Our class enjoyed the building of the lego. Unfortunately, I got covid and the Lego got played with so I spent the holidays repairing the farms so that we could engage in the school kit activities. Each time we rolled the dice we were excited to see what the challenge would be. This engaged all students.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Children have been able to adapt the learning to our school 'farm' (chicken coup and vegetable gardens). It was a perfectly timed KIT with this new learning all getting underway.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The challenge cards were awesome. Children are still getting lots out of them- and enjoy making and creating, not just with the bricks but with other recyclable materials as well.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Learning about the different roles of farmers

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them This is so much fun. I loved making cool sentences with the words.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Bricks and tokens. We used the tokens to make sentences and extended our learning my adding detail to the sentences. They loved builiding the farm and they worked well together.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They learned 'farm to plate' and I used it in writing for sentence work.

Later on they enjoyed all the activities which went with the kit. The best part was were we were able to use the farms for our maths and art where each child designed the

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I had lots of fun making the quad bike and driving it on the farm. I can count the (groups of) animals.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks because it was hands on and interactive. Handing out the bricks bit by bit to build onto the farm and extend it - gave the element of mystery. Being able to use the animals/fruit/machinery to build children's oral language.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? This kit has enabled the children to practice some of their problem solving skills and build resilience when things haven't worked out how they wanted it to. It has enabled teamwork, improved communication and facilitated creativity in a role play setting
