I had lots of fun making the quad bike and driving it on the farm. I can count the (groups of) animals.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The bricks because it was hands on and interactive. Handing out the bricks bit by bit to build onto the farm and extend it - gave the element of mystery. Being able to use the animals/fruit/machinery to build children's oral language.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
This kit has enabled the children to practice some of their problem solving skills and build resilience when things haven't worked out how they wanted it to. It has enabled teamwork, improved communication and facilitated creativity in a role play setting

How important is it to you that classroom resources are made from recyclable materials and are reusable?
How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy?
The children wrote stories about what was happening on the class farm. They also wrote about the different types of animals. They enjoyed hearing stories about the different farm animals. Lots of discussion which improves oral language.
