“Students loved this kit. They enjoyed the problem solving and building aspects, especially when we linked it to measurement and volume in maths. It also encouraged hesitant writers to think outside the box in terms of their vocabulary, and as a highly ELL school, it was awesome to hear their oral language developing.”

Having the instructions for them to do step-by-step: great for processing, they could go back and figure our where they'd gone wrong, 3D imaging and teamwork if they were working on a build with a buddy. Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Thing + That + For cards - the open ended STEM type approach allowed for challenge, creativity, curiosity and collaboration to be nurtured and extended.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The children keep asking to use Bricks Farms during Tinkering Time - it is a popular choice!

“An excellent kit that kept the students highly engaged and motivated. Being cross-curricular it was used right across our day. The students responded well to the organisation of the overall game and we used the task cards mainly with small groups or the whole class. Thanks Countdown!!”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked playing with the bricks and learning to follow the instructions. I liked working as a group to put pieces together and helping each other fix problems we had.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves were amazing as they had multitudes of uses.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The fact that these can be used over and over again and in so many different contexts. They are so engaging whenever they are used - such a valuable asset.

“This set was incredible! The opportunity for language development and cross-curricular learning was fantastic. It was great to introduce problem solving, where things come from, sorting... the list goes on. The best thing is that the students were so engaged as they had seen the sets in supermarkets so already had an interest to build on. Well done School Kit - a definite winner!”

“Kia ora Team, Thank you so much for such an invaluable resource. The activities encouraged problem-solving, collaboration and team-building skills and catered to the various learning levels in my class. I have students with neuro-diversity challenges and the construction often provided an opportunity for them to be calm and focused and my entire class were engaged particularly in role-play with all the individual parts of the farm. The game part is probably more suitable for an older year level. At the moment, my class is more interested in construction and exploratory play but with time and scaffolding, some of my students would enjoy the delivery of the tasks For many of my students, the opportunity to play with a Lego kit as extensive as yours is something quite rare. Thank you team for allowing us to partake in such a fabulous resource.”
