One of my favourite kits! Students love the STEM element and of course the bonus of Countdown Bricks. They loved the imaginative play with the Countdown Bricks set and enjoyed learning the Maori kupu and matching them to pieces within the Countdown Bricks set. Students loved creating and designing new objects/machines using the thing, that, for cards. They were so creative and could explain their designs and how they would work. The sets of bricks took a lot of resilience to put together and following of instructions. It wasn't as successful as I thought, but we persevered a couple of times then completed with out buddies.

We loved this resource. Students took different roles associated with farming and brainstormed what they would need to fulfill that role, developing that part of the farm - including what their product would be and how they would get it to market. On different days they swapped roles to get an understanding of the many products that farming could produce and the roles people play in the processing of products.

My students have loved creating and exploring all about farms with our Brick Farm kit. This kit allowed students to learn about all aspects of farm life from learning about farm animals, fruit and vegetables, growing things, different types of farms (orchards/animal farms), farm transport and machines and where our food comes from. I can see our Farm kit being a hit for terms to come as there is always something new to explore.

Class were very excited to open the box and see Lego inside. They loved working in small groups with TA support to complete. Some of the accompanying games were tricky for the kids to follow, so the class ended up playing with it instead.

Wow. Our students loved this unit. We teamed up with 3 junior classes and took the opportunity to do lots of group work. We had some fabulous ideas and inventions on paper with the “thing for that” cards. We love these. We then worked in teams to make the different farm equipment. The conversations and talks were amazing and being a farming community we had lots of little “experts”. Thanks to school kit and countdown for another fabulous kit!!
