Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Wow! Look at all these bricks. There are going to be enough for everyone to have a turn. (we had been working on turn taking). I never knew that avocados grow on trees.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The animals - the children were so kind and caring when they were looking after them. they made them little beds and bowls of food and named them.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They still play with it everyday. But I am sure now they think about where their food comes from more.

“The children had already experienced the Farm bricks through their whanau shopping at Countdown so were so excited when we opened this huge box that arrived in our classroom. There was a lot of teamwork, negotiating in building the larger models. The instructions were easy to follow as they were similar to lego instructions. The tamariki were really good at sharing the blind bags and guessing what they were going to get. We had a lot of imaginative play and sorting. The tamariki were very creative with their games - they even got the supermarket bricks from last year and joined the two together to make a giant organisation.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The small collector packets, children loved sorting the foods, animals etc and it determined where they placed them.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A love for construction, the want to grow vegetables from seeds.

“In Term 1 our class Science focus was all around the Living World. The students loved learning about the different animal groups and this was a great addition to support their learning. It was a great way to link in other areas such as Technology and Literacy too. It was highly engaging and the building part provided a good challenge for them.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them 1) I liked the little animals and people. 2) It was fun opening the packets. I had a cow in mine.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Bricks - super popular with students. Blind packets - suspenseful time guessing and then checking what our packets contained.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Teamwork helps get the job done (making the farm vehicles involved taking turns and participating to get them completed).

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "Wow so the food comes from a farm and into our supermarkets so that we can eat." Another example was children recognising that kumara was grown on the farm which is a huge connection to Rongomatane.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The lego building. The children were focused, waited to have a turn at building and supported each other to complete the builds.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It was an amazing supportive resource to inform children that food doesn't just come off the shelves in a market and also it supported our research into the Maori Atua.
