Which kit components were the most impactful and why? We found the different parts were useful to tamariki learning vocabulary in Te Reo Māori as they explored new kupu and learned about every day objects

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Our tamariki regularly use this for creating new sciences and telling stories. They have also learned so many Kupu that they use in everyday life.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked helping to build the farm trucks, my grandad drives a tractor. I like learning about where all the vegetables come from, and about the animals.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The sorting cards were easy to get class involvement. But of course the bricks themselves were greatly admired!!

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A deeper understanding of their land around them and connection to their land and how it used.

“This was such a great kit for my littlies! It was especially well timed as we are starting a topic of looking more in depth at our surrounding area, turangawaewae and we live in a farming community. The kit allowed for a lot of discussion around the different aspects of farming and the land to table process. It was able to be used in Maths with counting and shapes and provided stimulus for writing. We also have a lot of ESOL students and the kit was great to help develop language for them. It was fun to have something hands on too and will be an ongoing asset to my classroom.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "It was so cool, I learnt what a combine harvester did". "I really liked building all the Lego and setting it up in the class for us to play with". "Peeling the carrot was tricky, but the soup was really yummy. I'm going to make some soup at home".

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The Lego kits - for me it was really interested to see who was able to see their build through to completion, who gave up, who worked well together. The boys got so excited when they first saw the kit. I had them instantly hooked!

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? One of the great things about this kit is that the boys can continue to play with it and now know what the different machines are called and what their purpose is.
