“A great way to engage students in working collaboratively with others at the start of the year. They loved opening the bricks and making farms. This kit was a good way to add some play-based learning to the programme. Students were able to form questions based on the kit, research their answers and share them with other students.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves and the Thing, That, For cards, because the students enjoyed the humour associated with it and it gave them freedom to be creative.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? the little individual bags as they were more achievable for the younger students.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked building the tanker the most because I found it the easiest to do on my own. I liked having the lego to go to when I had finished my work.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The students really enjoyed the actual lego sets but also being able to use sets for games. They enjoyed being able to work together with less able students to build something together.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Team work can do amazing things!

“I have rarely seen a class as excited as mine was when opening this kit. The first box arrived and we really liked the wooden dice. Then the 2nd box arrived and we were so keen to get to building. We had a fun farm set up and enjoyed working together to build our kits.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? All of it. It all compliments each other. The kit works as a set.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them My class showed pride in working together to build a farm vehicle or setting up the vegetable garden. They learnt about where their food comes from and were able to make clear links to their lunchboxes and making sustainable food choices where possible.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The lego pieces that worked together. My class was able to collaboarate to create a whole farm which linked perfectly into topic, reading and DOT.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A scientific understanding of where their food comes from and how we can grow plants that can feed us sustainably.

“This was a fabulous resource - however our little ones had a lot of trouble making the lego creations. We needed help from the older children who absolutely loved it. I wonder if the kit was more suited to middle/senior children? Despite this the children are loving every minute of playing with the Lego.”
