Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I think my new farm truck design was the best! I want to be a designer now. I never really thought about what was in the ground before but now I now it is full of worms and stuff and that we need to have good soil to grow stuff better.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The use of lego meant the children were very engaged as it is an item they are familiar with.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? How fasinating nature is and how we need to look after our environment from the soil up and how to nuture animals.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The larger pieces like the tractor, truck were really popular. Children spent much time sorting the animals and creating a scene.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Enables collaboration, role play, fine motor skills, used daily for play-based learning.

“This resource was a fantastic way for our tamariki to engage with Māori kupu for animals, kai and vehicles. Even though some of the kits were a little difficult to construct the tamariki showed real perseverance with each task.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? the animals - they were so creative, making up stories about who lives on the farm and creating characters

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Cooperative and collaborative play- they all managed themselves so nicely, there was lots of lovely language opportunities especially for ESOL

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked the farm where the farmer and with his wife. I learnt about the trees and the plants and the farm animals. I like the farm and the plants and the animals because I got to make them. I like writing about it.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The dice game and tasks. The cards were easy to understand and could be adapted to suit different levels.

“The kit was so engaging and the students loved the game! It was great how the games were differentiated so it could be accessed at different levels. The students enjoyed using the new vocabulary and it related well to our term's theme of Tūrangawaewae. Some of the bigger lego sets were are bit tricky for my NE/Y1s but the smaller bricks were perfect and really great for their fine motor skills!”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Using the activity to reinforce turn taking and interacting/sharing with others.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Lots! Friendship time. Also we grew our own veges like the vegetables on our farm.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved working with my buddy to build the tricky ones. The stickers were tricky but looked pretty.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The actual bricks! Because there was alot of manipulation, co operative talking, social cues and time to calm and think.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Some parts are in our calm space box and can be made multiple times.

“WOW!!! What a super cool resource. I used it in so many different ways. Was perfect for small group 'lego therapy' type work. We are using it currently with our garden to table unit and growing. Oral language, helped promote alot of conversations and learning new vocab.”
