My Self Confidence 20 Reviews

4.4 Rating 883 Reviews
I had only managed 3 or 4 activities from this kit before we went into Lockdown. These activities were fabulous, especially the portrait video and ensuing discussion. The first few activities really opened up the children's eyes to how people are perceived on the outside and how that might really differ to the inside.

I only had the opportunity to begin this kit. I had introduced the use of the journal and we were about to start using the daily check in. My display was all ready to go but due to lockdown I won't be able to use or implement any of it until school is back. One of my favourite school kit units to date though. Would highly recommend to others :) I've only rated the charging station as neutral as haven't used it yet so can't comment!

This pack is great to work alongside our school values but also for Year 7s and building self confidence as this is a time where they take less risks academically and socially.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? When we use this kit I can see it helping students understand their emotions and recognising how they feel. It will help them see that knowing different ways to recharge your battery quickly is really important for resilience
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The daily check-in part of the kit is going to be a fantastic way to check in with my students each day- I am going to utilize this concept online with google classroom- so even those students working from home can have that check in with me.
Although I was unable to do this kit justice- only completing the first 2 activities I see the benefits of using it when we go back to school. This kit couldn't have come at a better time. I will be restarting the kit once school is back.

I found this kit to be one of the best yet. I did not finish it due to the early finish of term one. It was very closely aligned to our skills for adolescence and also navigating the journey health units. Very detailed with instructions and variance of activities.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Unfortunately we had only just begun to use it a couple of weeks before lockdown, (why I put somewhat successful on first comment). It really had the kids starting to think. about how they saw themselves. We will definitely continue once school is back.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Is beginning to strengthen the communication and feelings of trust between us. Again it is hard to say much more as we had just started getting into it.
This is a great resource that has great visual impact. When I first put it up it really got the kids buzzing! I look forward to carrying it on once school is back in.

We started off with a bang. Great resources, the Tamariki were engaged, using the charge up station in class and parents were super happy to see such a resource used in my class. But then...lockdown. Prior to lockdown we tied it into building a positive growth mindset too and we’ve uploaded some resources on our Seesaw page. I would like to add a Seesaw task around our charge up station next and see how that could go. Also, sending out reminders of what to do when to pay it forward and when feeling low. Thanks for a fantastic resource.

I am sorry but I was just about to launch into it when the numbers in my class started to dwindle and we had to close down days later.
