How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Children were becoming more aware of their feelings and more willing to talk to me about issues that were going on. They were starting to put into place the cards we were talking about, particularly how to help themselves and others.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I have approached children who have put their token in the red box and started a private conversation with them, they have opened up to me about what is bothering them, and we have made a plan forward from there. Those students were feeling better after.

“I found this kit very helpful, I took my time to work through the booklet with the children so they had a good understanding of how to monitor their feelings. We had started using the tokens every morning and discussing a few of the cards each morning as well. Thank you very much!”

“It has been a very useful kit. The videos we watched as a class had a big impact on how they saw themselves. Each morning they would put in their token and were happy to share the cards and reasons for their token. I have carried this on via a internet survey each day where students fill out their survey to let me know where their token is for that day.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The video clips were very useful as was the 'caring adult letter. At this age I was only going to use most the booklet content. Then cover the Dear Teacher card and the Dove self journal, I may still do this later.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? We weren't quite there so cannot answer but would hope to revisit this aspect later.

“This kit was for year 4 and up. This year I have yr 3 & 4 so some of it was challenging for them. We were working through the booklet and the kids were enjoying it and doing well with most concepts. I felt they were learning what it means to be resilient and to recognise the positive in them selves and how others see them. The parent response was well received. I think it would have also helped at home at the moment.”

“Hi, Thanks for this kit. Some of my students were given the journal to work on in isolation but only 13 were their at the last day. I brought home the kit to work on and we are using the tokens and feeling sheets with my own children to 'check in' as I have the box and the spot. It's such a topical kit and we will be revisiting it when we get back in class as it's an awesome one to read how the children are feeling. Thanks so much for all you do. I REGUARLY share your school kit at home learning with my class. We love it.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The cards and the booklet really helped them identify with themselves and they could start to use the vocab independently.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has helped in the morning when they arrive at school and place themselves in the morning how are you feeling box! If someone is in the red, they can write down why and I can support them.

“WOW! This kit was great, as I teach year 6's this really helped them dig deeper into their feelings and acknowledge when they weren't quite 100%. It gave them the tools and the vocab to help them explain.”
