How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? They used things to reset their thoughts and manage both their learning and behaviours. It fitted with previous growth mindset but reached deeper and students actually thought about re-setting their emotions, becoming more resilient and self-aware.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students willingly saying when they have a need, a fear, space and most of all help. Having the confidence to ask for help has been huge !!!!!!! When feeling overwhelmed they used the charging station to refocus, and move forward usually in a more space.
“It was FANTASTIC - Children who have previously sat quiet and not wanted to speak to a group or even read their work out now do this (some trepidation still ). They are happy to record themselves and even read their work at assembly. I love the fact that when they were emotionally overwhelmed be it with fear, anger, etc they could recharge and move forward with a different mindset and the confidence they could handle any challenging situation they faced.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The booklet was very important for students to find out where they were. Although some students in the red because they had not auctioned some of the things in the book, therefore having to fill red form. Some of my happier students.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Communication has always been great with my students. The kit wasnt the main reason for discussions. My students come to be regardless of the kit.
“It would've been great to have a example to how this should look up on the wall. Students were able to work on this display independently through the week. Great that the teacher can talk with students in the red.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Being able to talk about failing and being in a safe environment was amazing.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The students loved placing in their coins everyday. It created some very healing conversations.
“What an amazing resource. Being qualified in ECE as well as primary school teaching, social-emotional regulation is something I have had a lot of experience with. This was such a great resource that focused on the well-being of the learner. Every classroom should have a pack like this. The students and I loved it.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I really like the quote cards and still have been using them.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I think the charging station would have worked well had we had the chance. Getting back into school was hard as yes we did focus on resilience but also just getting our relationships back on track with our children.
“Hi, The quote cards were great and we used to them daily to talk about them and what they meant. To be honest with lockdown happening we may have not fully given the chance to get it to. We talked about resislence when we got back. I found the Written booklets to hard for my children. I know it’s said year 4-8 and I have year 5’s but they just struggled to write in them.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I think the letter from home from loved ones had the most impact as they were so meaningful to each child.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I found the kit was great in sorting out issues that the students would not normally speak about. They used the red sheets to inform me of things that they were really not happy about and i was able to set things in motion to make change.
“This kit was interrupted by Covid and when we got back to school it was difficult to go back to using it. Some of the check my charge pages such as self belief were difficult to see how they related. Self belief relating to: being organised, using names etc were hard to clarify for students.”
