Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them One student was particularly moved by the letter written for her by a much older brother. Students and families found the Circles of Influence activity a great discussion-starter at home.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? For us the booklets were the most impactful, and the activities and videos about self-awareness and self-image were the big-hitters.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Students were encouraged to look beyond the outer shell - of themselves and others. They recognised that they were prone to judging themselves and others by how they looked and saw that this was damaging. It worked in well with other learning we were doing in Health around Kindness and Being the Best Me.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence I think it was great for students to be encouraged to look at what makes them interesting and unique and special.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? It's been a really valuable and engaging piece of learning, which has fitted in perfectly with our health focus in Term 3 around self-image and kindness to selves and others.

“My class (Year 4) loved this kit. They were on the young end of the 'target' audience, but some of the issues raised were really pertinent at their stage of growing self-awareness. The booklets were so thought-provoking, and the letters from a caring adult were special for the students as well as their adults. The Shrink and Boost cards were more complex for my young class and they needed a lot more adult support to access these ideas.”

I really liked putting the token in the box each morning so my teacher could come have a chat with me if I was in the red zone. 2. I like the class chats that we had. 3. I didn't like filling in a red card cos I was already in the red zone and didn't want to write.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The cards to lead discussions. And the tokens as some were saying they were in the red as they couldn't find their pencil, so there were many great robust conversations about each zone.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Not to weigh events down on themselves. Also the large chart now features in our "red zone" area where students read it and take big breaths to get back to yellow and then (fingers crossed) are functioning at green.

“There was a lot to display and I didn't have a massive area. However we worked through different cards daily and the booklets were fantastic. Sadly we didn't get many parents on board and school is the happy place for many of my students.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I enjoyed standing on the charging station as a way to slow down and think about what was going on for me. I had never really thought much about giving back to support others when I am felling really happy. It makes sense.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station and the letter. The letter was a real boost of confidence and will stay with them forever

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Having supportive adults in their lives and finding ways to support their well-being.

“This kit helped students to become more aware of their own feelings and messages that our bodies send us. It also gives skills and strategies to use, because as students' became self aware they also learnt what can they do about it. It also helped students to understand that everyone is different and we all react in different ways. The cards were great, we worked on one card per day and discussed it and also discussed what actions we can take today to reinforce this, for example, 'share the load' (what does this mean and how do you do this).”
