The Students enjoyed reading the cards and trying to follow the examples. They liked being able to share, without having to say it out loud.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The buttons with their name on them, it gave them the power to name how they were feeling.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
They have come into class and requested their buttons, so they could put it into the slot box. I will continue to use this in Term 4, as they have asked to do this. It is satisfying to see them read the cards, or to see how valued they feel when I follow up with them. This has led to students being referred to the counselor, something that may have been missed without this resource. I really love it.
In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence
The ability to name their feelings and to know it is OK to have goid/ok/bad time is great. Being able to own how they are feeling and being able to ask for help quietly has really led to more confidence in sharing what is happening in their lives

How has this kit helped develop student resilience?
They are able to share their feelings, they know I will catch up with them, so they quietly work through it with me. Writing in their books they can concentrate on the skills and strength they identify

Feelings. At the start some of the boys were a bit silly about people putting buttons in the red, but after discussions and doing the activities they are now much more respectful and empathetic to others having a bad day.
