How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? Was a real eye opener for some and knowing that they can show their feelings using art and symbols helped them to express their feelings.
I teach a Year 5+6 class. They really enjoyed creating the Be kind letters and poems. Thinking of others before themselves was a super way for them to be more aware of other peoples feelings and the way they get treated.

Because the kit provided resources for the students to get hands-on, as well as providing detailed direction to find information regarding artists, allowed the students to be engaged and connected to be able to research and think critically about the mess
An amazing resource that allowed my students to be exposed to, and think critically about, worldwide issues via a different lens.

How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? Some students understood, but many found this difficult. They loved the creating of art pieces.
We had started this kit when we went into lockdown, so it was very disjointed as many students were away for key components and discussions. As a class we enjoyed exploring the poetry side of the kit. I found the students would have liked to be less constrained by the stamp examples, so we modified it.

How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? Great way to do this ... just think my class were a little young to understand it fully.
Overall my students enjoyed this kit. Great discussions were had about the themes of acceptance, kindness and racism. I had to provide a lot of support for some of my learners but my more able students were able complete tasks almost independently.
