How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? Alongside other activities during the term, it helped the students not only understand different elements of art, but that art tells a story or a message and can be very powerful.
We were able to incorporate this kit into a wider big idea 'We can learn a lot from each other because people see the world differently depending on their values, traditions and experiences'. It complimented the 'know, understand and do' aspects of the unit we inquired into (and supported the refreshed NZ Histories doc)

This School Kit provided a unique opportunity for our wonderfully multicultural community to unpack a deep topic through shared experience and passion for art.
