What was something that surprised you about your class throughout the teaching and learning of this kit? That I could use the same cards for more than one lesson and the kids still took new things from them each time.

“Fantastic to have all resources there in one box. Easy to follow instructions and reasons for using the resources. Having philosophers' messages to give depth for my Year 8 students was great.”

In what way did your perception of the issues relevant to your class change? I think the one thing it really highlighted was the need to make the connections with how their online life is like offline. Showing those comparisons opened their eyes.

What was something that surprised you about your class throughout the teaching and learning of this kit? I think the huge need for all teachers to be teaching this type of material. Students need this.

“It was a great kit. I did have to find the teacher guide online first as was a bit confusing at first! The kids loved the voting with the marbles!”

I was surprised at just how many students have had challenged situations online, it was higher than I thought it might have been with my students. Also the low engagement from some parents around their child’s involvement with being online and what exactl

It was great that so many were so open to share, I do wonder about those students who were comfortable to share but I feel that is kit allowed them to get some answers connect with others and we also discussed what to do if they were in a challenging situ

“I found the kit really hard to understand in regards to the instructions/lesson plan and getting my head around what I needed to do. I definitely think the kit is pitched to an older year group than the Year 7's I have.”

“There were some great discussion cards which we adapted. We found the game a bit hard to follow so we adapted it for the large class of 40”

Please describe your comfort level in delivering the more mature content within this kit For Year 7 &; 8 students - this was a successful topic to teach - some of the poems and videos were a little hard to understand - especially the first poem - the students didn't quite know how to get themselves lost and then unlost.

“Loved teaching this programme - the students enjoyed the variety in activities, the posters that they could keep, the group activities, the high level critical thinking and the challenge of being aware of what is safe and not safe online.”

I will address them next year when they are Year 8's as I think they will have the maturity to talk about them then.
