“My students really enjoyed this resource. It fitted really well into our term topic of Hauora. We have been completing Pause, Breathe, Smile and Navigating the Journey. This resoources link into these topics very well.”

“Instructions were clear and easy to implement and adapt for your class. Resources were well thought out and could be easily accessed by all students whatever their ability. the main highlight was the depth of discussions that took place in the classroom.”

“This kit has opened some of my students' eyes to how social media affects their self-esteem and mental health. They can see the changes in themselves and their friends. It has been a great conversation starter in order to talk about some of those more difficult conversations.”

“I used this kit with my year 9 and 10 class at the end of the term. It was a great reminer to my students to see their own value and worth. It was very insightful to for them to see how trusted people around them see them, and highlight their values. It created great converstaions and created a safe space for stundets to talk about themselves and others.”

How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? They have inproved in the classroom but do need monitoring in the playground still.

Which response stood out most? An adult has teased me - Students found responses depended on age - young adults, 18+ were often less positive results, whereas the older adults - over 40 were often more positive.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They may be checking in with the wall quietly, they have a discussion still occassionally about it which shows they are still thinking about it. Hopefully this kit will leave behind the fact they self esteem need maintenance and you can set yourself up better with social media.

“Self esteem for me was about taking a bit more ownership - working out why? Working out how you can help yourself. The focus on others as well was good as it makes the world bigger and not just about them.”
