“There was so much to the kit which is nice if you have a lot of time but we were very time poor. There was so much to do and the guides to explain things were tricky to follow and find - we would have liked something far simpler with ideas to put into use. We never ended up using half the things as we couldn't work out what to do with them or use them in a simple way.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? To realise we are all beautiful and that we need to have self belief in all we do and be ok to be positive. It isn't arrogant to have love for ourselves.

“This term, my Year 3 & 4 students carried out the “Resilient Behaviours Build Self-Esteem” programme. Our main learning goal was to give our students consistent opportunities to build their confidence and resilience when faced with challenges. My students really enjoyed this learning and worked hard during each session. While some of the lessons on the teaching sequence were too complex for my students, I was able to modify a few lessons to suit our students. My students especially enjoyed identifying 3x adults that they trusted the most and thinking critically about how these people’s values affected their relationships and daily life. They were enthusiastic about completing their Circle of Influence sheet. As a class, we also co-created a poem about the different stories that inspire us. Students were engaged and enthusiastic about this collaborative project.”

“The resources and idea behind this kid was amazing, however my students really struggled with what to do. The instructions on how to do each of the 'lessons' were extremely complicated and I did not find it user friendly. It actually caused more stress trying to work out what to do and then relay this only my class.”
