“What a wonderful opportunity to have discussions with my Year Seven and Eight classroom that otherwise may not have happened. I particularly loved the 'Daily Check In'. While I did at times find this time consuming, it deepened my realationships with my students and allowed me a window into what was going on for them, beyond our usual conversations. Thank you for producing such an amazing resource!”

“The Self Esteem Kit was a hit in my classroom. It came at a crucial time when we were experiencing some negativity in the classroom that was accompanied by low moods and behaviour issues. The students really appreciated the letters they received from their special person and embraced checking in each day. They found the cards helpful and some students often selected further cards throughout the day when they needed a pick me up. I would highly recommend getting this kit.”

“This had really good information and I loved how all the resorces were in one place. The main problem I had with this kit was that the first half of the exercises required the information that students had to do at home. For example the letter and the interview. This ment that the follow up exercises were really hard to do as 90% of my students did not do these tasks even with emails and letters sent home. Also the focus mainly being on females for the second section.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? To consider how they are tracking with their own wellbeing more often and they have seen what they do naturally to help support their wellbeing.

“I found that there was a lot in this kit. Some of the activities my students engaged with well, but when they were asked to involve others outside of school it became really tricky. A lot simply didn't do what was needed which meant they weren't able to fully engage with the next activity. They did however enjoy a lot of the self check in activities where they got to think about themselves and how they look after their own wellbeing, linking very nicely with my Maintain Ourselves inquiry topic.”

“I haven't done a School Kit in a few years, but I found this very hard to follow. I think the resources were well thought about but knowing how to use them, in what order, was difficult. We didn't finish using the kit due to this.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Nothing this time round. Quite disappointed with it. I was looking forward to it having a big impact but it has left me underwhelmed.

“There seemed to be something missing this time round. I did it a few years ago and the students really loved it. This time round it felt a lot harder to use with the same age group of kids. I don't know if the kits were different, but it felt like it wasn't as easy to incorporate into the daily classroom routine.”
