What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That checking in on themselves isn't a bad thing, that further reflection helped them identify the problems they might be battling with in their lives, helped them to recognise that the way we speak to each other is important - even if they are not serious

“The Self Care kit 24 was a great resource for my class to encourage talk about the different factors that the adults in their lives e.g self esteem, self worth, self image etc. The questions were a great resource to physically show different perceptions that they have noticed about their adults in their lives. It also prompts great discussion about these topics, and how students can overcome these so that they have a better sense of self worth. Highly recommend!”

How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? They have begun to recognise the impact their language has on one another and I have heard some very adult conversations when problems arise and are solved.

My ākonga really liked the daily check in and the rise and shine, they reported that it has changed how they think about each day, what they are doing, and who is influencing their own decision making.
