Was there a particular component that struck a chord with your class? The Trusted Adult letter was very well recieved. I have tweaked this and collected them in unread and will hand them back later in the year.

How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? The circle of influence task made some of them realsie the influence they have over others and I have seen some conscious decisions to think before they say things.

How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? The kit has helped students realise than that there are several ways/angles to look at a situation, helping them understand others better and show more compassion - one of our school values :)

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We haven't fully used the kit yet but it has already seeded a positive message in us: we are who we are. We have trusted adults who love us as we are and we should love ourselves too, strengths and weaknesses included, the whole package!

“My Review of the Circle of Influence Exhibition Have you ever wondered what makes some people bounce back quickly when things go wrong? Our class created an amazing exhibition all about this thing called "resilience" – which is like your own personal superpower for handling tough situations! We learned about our "Circle of Influence" – basically figuring out: Things we CAN control (like our attitude and habits) Things we can SOMEWHAT control (like some relationships) Things we CAN'T control (like the weather or what other people do) Once we understood this, we created cool displays showing our own circles and the daily habits that help us become stronger when facing problems. We discovered that resilience isn't something you're just born with – it's something you can practice and get better at every day. Small things like taking deep breaths when I'm upset or writing down three good things that happened today can actually make a big difference. We also learned that everyone struggles sometimes, and that's totally normal. What matters is having good habits that help you bounce back.”

“This worked well with year 8 students. We didn't use all the elements and adapted it to fit our context and the students. The students enjoyed the activities, and I enjoyed including the parents in this topic.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? One programme would not change a lot over a few week. But it was a great start to build that awareness, esp. for some socially chanenging students.

“1. It was very helpful to have a guide online so I can use it as a reference and tailor it from there to suit my teaching context. 2. It was definitely helpful for the children to build more profound self-awareness of who they are and who are the influencers in their lives.”
