“I was very impressed with the thought and research that went into making this kit. I requested this kit to use as an independent project for a student who is going through a lot at the moment and wanted an independent passion project for them to do as they have a huge interest on becoming a vet when they’re older. The only thing is I found it difficult for them to do independently as it required more scaffolding than I initially anticipated, and was not able to do it on their own. I found some of the instructions a bit tricky to wrap my head around.”

“We were only able to use parts of this resource and with a group of children. These children had a keen interest in the topic and it dove tailed in with our inquiry topic for the term and our language focus of narrative writing nicely.”

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? I didn't use coding and time was too short for us to complete 'what if' cards but I think the idea of eliminating options became clearer for kids when they got the case files.

“Very rewarding kit. Use of a physical provocation very successful and engaging, especially for the younger kids in my class. The diagnostic process grabbed the imagination of kids who aren't always engaged. I would have liked a little more guidance on how much information/resources to give out when - so that the information is clearly dripfed.”
